CBMP won 2 awards at the 28th PZA Investor’s Night held at World Trade Center in Pasay City last November 22, 2023.
First is the Outstanding Exporter Award for the notable effort towards increasing production and sales. It’s the third time of CBMP to receive the award. The others were given last 2019 and 2022.
Another is the elevation to Hall of Fame for Outstanding Community Project Award for notable efforts toward undertaking social welfare programs that greatly benefit the Filipino community.
With these recognitions, CBMP will continuously strive to uphold its corporate philosophy of kyosei (living and working together for the common good) by contributing to worldwide prosperity and happiness.
Lastly, CBMP management gave a simple token of appreciation to its members last December 4 to 7 for their efforts and making this success possible.

CBMP achieved its 20 Million Laser Beam Printer production last February 28. A commemorative ceremony was conducted last March 1 as celebration of the great achievement. The ceremony started by a Congratulatory Speech delivered by CBMP President Masahiko Tsuji. This was followed by a planting of Commemorative Fire Tree, one of the most abundant and admired trees in the Philippines and Signing of Commemorative printer unit by respective ManCom representatives.
With unceasing efforts, support and cooperation of Canon Group, the suppliers, Philippine Government Agencies and all CBMP personnel, the company has accomplished this tremendous feat while overcoming difficulties along the journey such as COVID pandemic lockdowns and numerous natural catastrophes.
As appreciation to all members, simple token of appreciation like Sweets and Polo shirt were also given in March. All CBMP employees are now eager to work towards even greater success as we breakthrough this once in a lifetime accomplishment.

CBMP bags 3 PEZA Awards from PEZA 2022 Investors’ Recognition Day last November 25, 2022 at the PEZA Auditorium in Pasay City. CBMP new President, Mr. Masahiko Tsuji accepted (1st) Outstanding Community Project Award (left plaque) which is given to CBMP for the third time; (2nd) Galing Pinas Special Citation (middle plaque) and (3rd) Outstanding Exporter Award (right plaque).
PEZA OIC, Mr. Tereso Panga together with DTI Secretary, Mr. Alfredo Pascual handed the awards to Mr. Tsuji and CBMP representatives.
CBMP members celebrated the notable success by the shared pack of sweets last December 2022.

June 13, 2023 marks the 10th Year Anniversary of CBMP. In celebration of its first decade of operational excellence, several activities were conducted in the month of June and July.
To signify strength and persistence, pioneer employees planted National Tree as commemoration of the company’s successful years. CINC Top Management also show their gratitude to CBMP members by giving encouragement messages to continuously prosper in the coming years.
Lastly, CBMP Management had a Philippine Culture Festival Celebration with treats and token given to employees. The One Big Family of CBMP has come this far despite of facing struggles and challenges but more successful years are waiting ahead through its members effort and teamwork. Congratulations and Happy 10th Year CBMP!

CBMP was recognized for three (3) categories namely, (1st) Hall of Fame for Environmental Performance Award, Hallmark in preserving and nurturing a healthy environment, as well as promotion of sustainable development; (2nd) Outstanding Community Project Award, notable effort for undertaking social welfare programs that greatly benefit Filipino community and (3rd) Galing Pinas Award during the PEZA 2021 Investors’ Recognition Day and PEZA Excellence Awards held last November 25, 2021 (Thursday) at the PEZA Auditorium in Pasay City.
Secretary of Trade and Industry, Ramon Lopez and PEZA Director General Charito B. Plaza gave the awards to CBMP representatives, Ms. Jenalin Gandoza (FAE), Ms. Marilou Diego (PDP) and Ms. Erdrelyn Garbosa (PDP).

Following the public safety protocols during this time of pandemic, PEZA held its 25th Anniversary and Investors’ Recognition Day on December 10, 2020 at the PEZA Auditorium, Pasay City. This to recognize the companies who have shown excellent performances in 2019.
CBMP was acknowledged again, on its 3rd time, with Outstanding Environmental Performance Award for the exemplary performance in Environmental Management. While a new significant award, Galing Pinas! Special Citation For Local Purchases, was also given to CBMP for fostering local economic development through patronage of locally produced raw materials and supplies.
The plaques of recognition were received by CBMP General Manager Makoto Takahashi & Asst. Manager Cindy Ilao, and were given by the Special Guest of Honor, Presidential Spokesperson, Secretary Harry Roque and PEZA Director General, BGen Charito B. Plaza (AFPR) MNSA, PhD.

Another year of success, CBMP received three (3) prestigious awards from PEZA last May 29 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, Manila. These significant acknowledgements are Hall of Fame for Outstanding Employer, Outstanding Exporter and Environmental Performance Awards. Plaques of recognition were received by CBMP Factory Manager Katsunori Takeuchi, and were given by the Guest of Honor, National Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana and PEZA Director General, BGen Charito B. Plaza (AFPR) MNSA, PhD.
To share the gratefulness of CBMP Management, token of appreciation was distributed to all employees for their continuous efforts, commitment and dedication in doing their best and aiming for higher goals.

CBMP President Osamu Shibuya proudly accepted the “Outstanding Employer Award” given by Political Adviser of President Rodrigo Duterte, Secretary Francis Tolentino and PEZA Director General, BGen Charito B. Plaza (AFPR) MNSA, PhD.

For the second time around in consecutive years, CBMP received the following awards:
OUTSTANDING AWARD. The award is given by the Department of Energy (DOE) to a company which has considerably improved its energy performance, supported by substantial energy efficiency and conservation programs. CBMP has implemented effective energy efficiency & control measures, and has achieved significant value of production energy savings for the past three years.
OUTSTANDING ENERGY MANAGER. In addition, CBMP also received an award for the individual appointed and acting as Energy Manager who is responsible for successful reduction in energy consumption of the company.

Employees had so much fun on the photo booth while wearing Yukata, and making origami as well. Bento meals are also served as simple recognition to all the contributions of everyone.
Moreover, as part of the celebration, new CBMP Motto, “Conquering Boundaries Making Possibilities”, marks another chapter and future of the company.
|
Once again, CBMP received two (2) awards during 2017 PEZA Investors’ Recognition Night held at the World Trade Center, Manila on April 04, 2017. CBMP President Kazuhiko Yamada proudly accepted the “Outstanding Employer Award” for the second time and the “Outstanding Community Project Award”, given by DTI Secretary, Honorable Ramon M. Lopez together with PEZA Director General, BGen CHARITO B. PLAZA (AFPR) MNSA, PhD.

Canon Business Machines Philippines (CBMP) received the "DON EMILIO ABELLO ENERGY EFFICIENCY AWARD" from Department of Energy (DOE).
This award is given to companies where its energy conservation activities are recognized to be efficient and continuous to materialize a Specific Energy Consumption improvement (SEC: Energy consumption per production volume) for more than 5% from the previous year.
This award is the result after recognizing the efforts of "reducing the electricity consumption using BMS (Building Management System)" which is promoted as one of the energy saving activities by CBMP. Through this, daily and steady energy conservation activities, CBMP materialized a significant achievement of 23% improvement over the previous year, and were awarded recently after its contribution to the environmental protection of the Philippines was highly recognized.
On December 12th, an award ceremony sponsored by DOE was held and commemorative certificates and plaque were given. Approximately 50 companies including the Philippine's best beer maker “San Miguel Brewery” received this award, and only 3 Japanese companies including CBMP received this award.

As CBMP employees continue to strive for excellence in producing high quality monochrome laser beam printers and through their hard work, CBMP achieved its
five (5) millionth production output in three years of operation.
In commemoration to this achievement, the company also celebrated this milestone to show its appreciation to all employees.

Aquino III, President of the Republic of the Philippines, together with DTI Secretary Adrian Cristobal and PEZA Director General Lilia De Lima.
“We will partner with you for the success of all – from your companies, who will undoubtedly reap greater profits, to Filipino employees empowered by a decent livelihood and the opportunity to make the most of their skills.” said President Aquino, as he addressed his speech to all investors.
These recognitions are truly an honor for CBMP, knowing that the company has only 3 years of experience and operations. CBMP was awarded as an Outstanding Employer because its education programs, camaraderie activities to build friendship & teamwork, and communication between employees and management, and as an Environmental Performer because of the discipline in doing the energy saving activities, environmental control and environmental protections.

Canon Inc. Chairman and CEO Fujio Mitarai and Canon Business Machines (Philippines), Inc. (CBMP) President Mr. Kazuhiko Yamada formally announced the CBMP Grand Opening Ceremony at the First Philippine Industrial Park in Tanauan, Batangas.
The strategically-located 30-hectare CBMP facility has produced 3 million best-in-class laser beam printers since its establishment in 2011 and began its operation in 2013, which have been exported to global market. Although, the opening ceremony was to be held later in 2013, those plans were postponed due to Typhoon Haiyan, the powerful cyclone that struck Philippines in mid November 2013, causing massive damage and loss of life.
The ceremony was attended by approximately 70 guests including Canon Top Executives and Philippine Government delegates along with representatives from many of the company’s business partners.
Addressing the attendees at the ceremony, “Over the next few years, this facility is projected to meet the demand for high-quality laser beam printers for use in businesses worldwide and will provide employment to more Filipinos on top of its 3,700-strong workforce,” explained CBMP President Kazuhiko Yamada. PEZA DG De Lima expressed her appreciation to Canon for the jobs that have been created through the establishment of the factory, along with her wishes for expanded operations in the future. Speaking next, Mr. Mitarai noted that CBMP “will play an important role in supporting Canon’s global manufacturing operations” and while pointing out that the new plant is still in its early stage, expressed his “very high expectations” for its future performance.
The ceremony received widespread television and print media coverage in the Philippines, an indication of the level of attention that Canon attracts in the country.
